HeatTrak’s Heated Outdoor Safety Treads are electrically heated mats designed to prevent snow and ice accumulation on stairs.  The treads are portable and plug into any standard 120V outlet generating heat to melt snow at a rate of 2” per hour.  Each tread is designed with watertight connector cables enabling it to connect to additional Safety Treads or Walkway Mats. A customer can connect up to 15 treads on a single control unit (sold separately).
